claire-021_200x0__false_nocrop_trueHolloway Arts Festival 2006 was a great success with music from Zig Duo playing Balkan/gypsy music, Neck performing Irish Psycho-Ceilidh, and jazz from Aydenne Simone with Jazz Culture. Local children made masks with Mandinga and took part in a colourful carnival procession to the sound of drumming from a bateria band.

1_200x0__false_nocrop_trueThe festival showcased some of our ongoing projects with a screening at the Holloway Odeon of Hip Hop Heritage, a film about rap music made by local teenagers at Cornwallis Youth Club with filmmaker David Blandy.

The Whittington Grand Hotel, created by local children with Eudemonic, was so successful in engaging the audience in a surreal encounter with its staff that they did not notice the dismal weather!

Photographer Ruth Corney visited Whittington Park over a period of several months to take pictures of dogs and their owners. These were displayed at the festival.
