The Supernovas are a 4-piece from North London. They have been playing together since the tender age of 16, tearing up stages the length and breadth of the country. In January 2009 The Supernovas signed to London label, 360 Degree Music and pretty much before think on the contract was dry the band recorded their debut single, Ace Face, a damning indictment of a typical lowlife coke dealing blagger, backed with the blistering, Sgt. Major. Following the release of the record, the band set off around the UK. 2009 culminated with gigs supporting Babyshambles in Cardiff and Manchester, before returning home to London for a 360 label night for promoters Stroll On. In early 2010, the boys re-entered the studio and cut a number of tracks, the first of which was the visceral live favourite Slaughter In The Gaza. The boys quickly stuffed a backpack with a very limited one track CD and hotfooted it over to SXSW in Austin, Texas. A storming set won them plaudits, before returning home for a series of club dates around the UK. This summer has seen the boys playing a number of festivals, including Glastonbury, Latitude, Lounge On The Farm, The Secret Garden Party, Endorse It In Dorset and Goodwood.
