


Holloway Arts Festival 2008

The Holloway Arts Festival 2008 brings a packed programme of music, dance, comedy,literature, film, arts and crafts to Holloway this summer.
The Festival will showcase the work of local arts groups as well as bringing national and international artists to perform at local venues.
The line up includes director Mike Leigh, performance poets Francesca Beard and Paul Lyalls, workshops with authors and illustrators, art and craft events, Reel Islington Screenings, the Big Day Out in Whittington Park on 5 July and much more....
Events will take place at various venues around Islington.

Looking for The Jumblies?
This year's Carnival theme is The Jumblies, a poem by Edward Lear who was born in Holloway in 1806.
Carnival costume-making workshops start 6 June
From 6 June we'll be holding free weekly workshops on Fridays and Saturdays. Make a costume to wear at the carnival procession during the Big Day Out on 5 July.
