Holloway Arts Festival 2013 brings you a holiday within Holloway from 1-8 June. Escape to Holloway and experience the atmosphere of the British seaside through a riot of eclectic music, spoken word, film, comic performance, crafts, theatre and outdoor events. Project Adorno are our guest curators for this year's festival.

To celebrate Rowan Arts’ 10th birthday and Map Gift Shop's 20th birthday, we're hosting a joint day-long shopping event  - with specially extended opening hours. 20% of all purchases will go directly to help Rowan Arts buy new IT Equipment to allow us to continue running our popular projects including Holloway Arts Festival and Islington Exhibits.

Radiating with colour, fantasy and spectacle, Map Gift Shop is firmly planted in the community, supporting local schools, businesses and community-based events.

Part of Rowan Arts' 10th birthday celebrations, a screening of Ken Loach's acclaimed documentary, followed by a panel discussion featuring artist Bobby Baker, Jeremy Corbyn MP, Emily Thornberry MP, and Leader of Islington Council Catherine West.

The Spirit of '45 is about how the spirit of unity which buoyed Britain during the war years carried through to create a vision of a fairer, united society. Director Ken Loach uses footage from Britain’s regional and national archives, alongside sound recordings and contemporary interviews, to create a rich political and social narrative.
