An Alien in Holloway

See the result of an animation project created by a group of children in collaboration with filmmaker Suzanne Cohen at a week-long workshop during this year's Mayton Street Festival. Using stop-motion animation and witty voice-overs they tell the humorous tale of an alien who landed in Holloway.

Reel Islington Film Festival

Reel Islington Film Festival 2012 took place from 24 to 26 February 2012. Turner Prize winning artist Jeremy Deller and multi-award winning director Ken Loach headlined a packed programme of screenings and events which included workshops with film industry professionals, Reel Islington Short Film Award and a ‘Film in a Day’ workshop.'

2012 was the inaugural edition of what is to become an annual event in the Holloway arts calendar. Next years festival will take place from 22 to 24 February 2013.

Holloway Reels

Holloway Reels was a series of filmmaking workshops offering young people aged 11-19 the chance to create their own short films with help from professional filmmakers.

 


First Friday Film Club

First Friday Film Club occurs every First Friday of the month. £5 or £2.50 concession (unwaged/low-waged)

 


Halloween Projects 2009

As part of Halloween in Holloway 2009, we ran spooky film projects for young people - and the end results were screened at the main Halloween event.


Cornwallis Film and Video Club

This youth-led film-making project took place over three years. Based at Cornwallis Youth Centre, it gave young people the chance to learn new skills and make their own films.
