Workshops

Eco Art House Project
Led by artist Nicola Pomery the 'Eco Art House Project' is a recycling art project being carried out by pupils from Hargrave Park School.
The pupils have been working with the artists to make Eco-Art Houses out of recycled materials. We are working with artist Sumer Erek to transform the shelter in the school's playground and want to get the community involved by helping us create an installation.
Sumer Erek was born in Cyprus. He graduated from St. Martin's School of Art in 1985. In 2008 Erek studied MA Theory and Practice of Transnational Art at Camberwell - University of the Arts London. He is a multi-disciplinary conceptual creator with extensive experience in public art installation, creating large-scale works and participatory projects in the UK and abroad. He works in a variety of different art fields such as painting, sculpture, photography, installation, video and performance.
This project has been kindly supported by E.D.Elson Ltd

Sculpture Workshop
Artist Anna Boggon will be leading a sculpture workshop that raises awareness of the negative impact of plastic in the Ocean. Sculptures of marine creatures will be created using recycled plastic

Jewellery Making Workshop

Participants will have available a wide range of beads, wire and appliqué materials and there will be help and inspiration provided! This fun activity is suitable for most ages and a good opportunity for adults and children to work together.
