Mural Project

Three sites at the Whittington Park Community Centre were chosen for murals. Groups in the community centre participated in developing the design for the mural and were each assigned one of the sites. The Woodcraft Folk worked on the design for the entrance of Hocking Hall, the after school club worked on the design for the inside of Hocking Hall and the Pensioner's Club and the Latin American Education Trust worked on the design for the window panels.

In 2006 Islington Council provided funding for mural artist Marianne Morild to work with Cornwallis Youth Club and with the Whittington Park Community Assocation to design murals for their buidings. The finished murals are bold and colourful and feedback is that the community like them a lot!
