Holloway Arts Festival 2009
25 June - 5 July 2009
Welcome to the Holloway Arts Festival website!
This year's festival takes Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as its theme. The programme includes tea parties and a Wonderland-themed carnival as well as art, music, dance, literature and comedy events for all ages to enjoy.
New this year is an exciting development, Archway Open House, during which artists will exhibit their work in venues around Holloway and Archway as well as giving talks and workshops.
Old festival favourites include Reel Islington Screenings, a showcase for filmmaking talent, and Connecting Conversations, a series of talks featuring high profile guests from the world of art, design and literature. The Big Day Out, the festival's free outdoor event, returns to Whittington Park on Saturday 4 July with even more music, street theatre, carnival parades and arts and crafts workshops.
